How To Tell If Another Lesbian Is Interested In Dating You
The law of attraction has no boundaries. It really doesn't matter whether you're a heterosexual or you like the same sex; being able to tell if another lesbian likes you is really no different than telling if a heterosexual girl likes a heterosexual guy. However, in the case of lesbians, you are both women and you can read each others' clues because after all, you are both women and both give and receive clues of attraction.
Again, while these tips below are general clues to determining whether another lesbian is interested in dating you, they can invariably applied to heterosexuals as well as gay men.
- Eye contact
In Western culture, eye contact is a sure sign of someone paying close attention to you. While it's not a tell all clue as to whether you're on her radar, it's a good start. Things to look for in the first few moments of visual engagement is, does she appear to gaze at you and go out of her way to give you eye contact? When you look away, do you catch her gazing at you? Do your eyes meet and lock? These are good signs that there's a heightened interest on her part. But remember, keep things in perspective. If you're at work, there may be other reasons you're getting the gaze. However, if you're at a social night club, especially a lesbian bar, then chances are, she may be interested in what she's seeing; you!
- She makes an effort to sit next to you
If you work together and she sits next to you, it's one thing; probably not a love interest. However, if you find that she makes an effort to sit next to you on a consistent basis while at work, lunch, or the club, then you might be on to something. Beware though, if you see her at a club and she sits next to you, it might be because she doesn't know anyone else at the club.

You may think you're an Ellen DeGeneres, but just in case you're not, she laughs at your jokes anyway. Women love humor, and if you can make them laugh, all the better. If she likes you, she will laugh even if your jokes aren't funny to anyone else.
- She finds excuses to make contact with you.
She may work in a different part of the building, but always seems to find her way to your part of the office to chat or check on a job. Or maybe she shows up at the same park you walk at, even though she doesn't live nearby. Maybe she finds her way to your supermarket even though she lives across town. All of these could be tell tale signs of a love interest.
- She gives you verbal and physical cues.
Do you find her touching you often. Maybe your shoulders, your hands. Maybe she hugs you a lot and gives you constant compliments on how you look and how you're dressed. Maybe she encourages you when she speaks to you. These can be signs of a nurturing woman or signs she has an interest in you.
- Your intuition tells you she likes you.
It's said that women have a six sense. If you feel it in your gut, then there is some truth to it. If all the signs are there and you begin to sense the energy between the both of you, then it might be time to express your feelings.
- She tells you she likes you.
It couldn't be any clearer that she likes you if she comes up to you and tells you. Be prepared for this. It may come out in the form of, "let's do lunch or dinner" some time.
Telling if someone likes you can be an agonizing experience, especially if you find them irresistible. While the above clues can help you make sense of a possible romantic interest, you should approach with caution as there could be other meanings assigned to the clues. You're best bet is a direct approach and just tell her that you like her and would like to take her out sometime. But be sure you do this on your own time and not in the work place as it could be considered sexual harassment should she not be interested.
